A heavy duty punch is a must have item if your company binds a lot of documents. There are a number of these machines available and one of the good ones is the Rhin O Tuff HD6500. Why don t we take a look at this device and see what it has to offer...

* There are quite a number die sets you can use with this machine. (One set comes with the device. The others can be purchased separately.) Some of the available punching patterns include Velobind, 2:1 and 3:1 pitch wire, 4:1 color coil, and plastic comb. Each set contains more than 20 disengageable dies so you can punch documents of different lengths. These die sets are interchangeable so you ll be able to select the appropriate one depending on the document you re putting together. It also only takes a couple of minutes to change them out, so you ll save some time.

* The HD6500 has a very impressive punching capacity. Depending on which hole pattern you choose, you can punch as many as 18,000 sheets over the course of an hour. That breaks down to about 40 sheets per cycle and roughly 90 cycles per minute.

* You can use this device to punch paper of many different sizes because it has an open throat. The throat itself is 14 inches long so you ll be able to easily work with legal sized documents. (Legal sized paper measures 8.5 x 14 .)

* Paper jams will be a very rare occurrence because the HD6500 has a innovative anti jam feature. This feature has the ability to detect when too much paper has been loaded into the machine. When this happens, it will spit out the paper so a jam can be avoided.

* One of the best things about this machine is that it operates quietly. You ll be able to use it in a shared workspace and not have to worry about disturbing your colleagues. This can contribute to a more peaceful working environment.

* The HD6500 can be operated a number of different ways. A foot pedal has been included so you can punch your documents and keep your hands free. There are also versa and palm switches you can use if you prefer.

* This is a modular punch so it s possible to attach other Rhin O Products to it including comb, color coil, and wire binding devices. If you choose to do this, you ll have a full fledged binding system.

* This is a punch that has all mental components so you can be sure it s well made and will stand the test of time. Also, this device has been made in the United States, so you can feel good about purchasing an American made machine

* Finally, the HD6500 is a pretty large device that looks rather utilitarian. Therefore, it wouldn t be a good choice if you re looking for a device that will blend in with your surroundings. You ll also need to make sure there s enough room in your workspace for this device so it might not be a good choice if you have a small office.

The Rhin O Tuff HD6500 is a good heavy duty punch that definitely deserves a closer look. You ll be able to use it for almost every kind of binding imaginable as well as books of different sizes. Although it s not the most aesthetically pleasing device out there, its functionality is really what counts. So if you want a high quality punch, the HD6500 is one to check out.
