Akiles is an respected name in the document finishing world because the company is known for making high quality products. If you need a rotary trimmer, you should check out their Roll a Blade 3615. Here are its strengths and weaknesses. Check them out.

Strengths:

* The Roll a Blade 3615 is a great tool to use if you need to cut very large documents. This device has a cutting length of 36 inches which is pretty incredible.

* This trimmer can cut up to 15 sheets of paper at a time. This is a pretty good cutting capacity for a rotary trimmer. However, it s still not on par with how many sheets a guillotine or stack cutter can process.

* If you need to cut non paper materials, this trimmer can definitely help you out. It s able to trim materials as diverse as cardboard, leather, foil, PVC, and veneer so long as it s no more than 2 millimeters thick. Basically, you can cut just about anything you want with this product.

* The Roll a Blade 3615 s base has both metric and standard measurements printed on it. The backstop is fully adjustable and there s a transparent clamping bar. The bar allows you to monitor the cutting process so you don t make any mistakes.

* This product has a blade that s made out of tungsten steel. The blade is self sharpening so you ll be able to use it for years and still get a crisp, clean cut each time you use it.

* Safety is definitely a concern when using an cutting tool, so you ll be pleased to know that the Roll a Blade 3615 is safe to use. The blade is located in a plastic casing that keeps your fingers from getting cut. Plus, this casing is ergonomically friendly so you ll be comfortable every you use this cutter.

* The Roll a Blade 3615 is covered by a one year warranty.

Weaknesses:

* As discussed above, the Roll a Blade 3615 cutting capacity is good but it s not great. You should use a different device if you need to cut more than 15 sheets at a time.

* Since this trimmer has can cut large items, it s going to take up a fair amount of room. It has dimensions of 36” (length) x 15” (width), so you ll want to make sure you have enough space for it. (However, it only weighs 28 pounds so moving it won t be too difficult.) If you re interested in this product but it s just too large for you, you can always choose the Akiles Roll a Blade 1815 that has an 18 inch cutting length. It s only 18” (length) x 15” (width) so it will take up much less room.

The Akiles Roll a Blade 3615 is a very good rotary trimmer and would be a great choice if you re in the market for a new cutting tool. Its cutting capacity is pretty decent for this kind of trimmer and it s great that it can handle non paper items. Plus, this device is well made and you ll be able to get a lot of use out of the blade while remaining safe. So long as the cutting length and this device s dimensions work for you, this is one rotary trimmer worth your consideration.
