A brand is all about attention, communication and simplicity. Successful brands demand attention from their target audience, and communicate a message, loud and clear, with disarming simplicity of design. Depending on the requirements of your business, there are many unique ways to approach brand design. London is home to countless leading designers and brand consultants. Making full use of their services has proved to be the turning point in many a success story for businesses in the United Kingdom.

When you set about branding, it is absolutely vital that you have a clear idea of what you are about to communicate to your target audience and potential customers. This requires work, a lot of work. Just as there is a vast amount more to a brand than a logo, similarly there is much, much more to the measurement of a brand’s success than recognition. Recognition is not enough, and the brand industry is one in which the old saying, ‘any publicity is good publicity’, is manifestly not true. No: the more work is put into market research, clarification of communication, objectives and promises, and the more creative and practical planning, the better chance your brand stands of being not only recognised, but also enjoying very positive associations, which can very quickly turn into measurable success for the business. You want to be in control of your brand image, just as you want to be in control of the direction of your business. When it comes to brand design, London should be where you want to start looking for expertise.

To be in complete control is, of course, impossible, and unplanned eventualities can work for you as well as against you. But great branding is an art form, and as such it is quintessentially human and makes use of all available human resources. Brand anthropology, for instance, examines the way in which brands are able to persuade customers, and how they manage to be perceived. Your brand could be at once concise, with a clear message and mysterious, surrounded by urban myth. A daunting and challenging, yet exciting and potentially fulfilling process, there are many variables to consider in brand design.
