Vietnam s President of the Assembly Commerce and Industry attended the meeting, the delegates welcomed the visit. He mentioned that the Vietnam Leather and Footwear Association is very active in industry organizations, economic development in Vietnam contributed significantly to its footwear products to become Vietnam s third largest export product. Vietnam has in the footwear industry, the cost also has a great advantage, investment facilitation, and has some preferential policies to support the hope that the participating member firm confidence in investing in Vietnam.

Apart from attending IFC meetings, the participating member states and business representatives also visited the exhibition of the 12th shoe leather, shoe industry of Ho Chi Minh City to conduct the inspection.

The 30th IFC will be held April 16, 2011 in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, organized by the Malaysian Footwear Manufacturers Association. Malaysia will also host the 2011 International Shoe Carnival.
