With obesity levels being at an all time high, the crisis
of type 2 diabetes is expanding at an alarming speed, and will
mainly get worse.
In between 2001 and 2002, the diagnosis of diabetes proceeded to go from
5.5 % of Americans to an alarming 6.5 per cent. In
just one year!
All round, twelve million People today in america have been clinically diagnosed and
another 5 million Americans have diabetes and don't know
it. And an additional 12 millions are on their way to type 2
diabetes as a consequence of impaired glucose concentrations.
Not realizing is the most detrimental as dangers of neglected
diabetes puts us at a horrendous risk of additional complications
this includes but not limited to loss of sight, amputations and
ultimately fatality.
The stickler is, that type 2 diabetes is nearly entirely
avoidable. Physicians say eat less, eat healthier and
work out. The statistics show just how many Americans are
currently obese.
Statistically, people are now living longer, and it has
been on the rise for quite a few years. But this isn't going to persist if
type 2 diabetes is not put under control.
We're a greedy culture and inevitably it is having an effect on
how we live and how long we live.
And sadly, the diabetes epidemic is not merely an US
challenge. It is dispersing all over the world with epidemic records in
Asia, the Middle East and the Caribbean.
It is estimated that by 2025, the number of diabetics
globally will surge to 380 million. And diabetes is now
hitting more of the younger and middle-aged population in
developing countries between the ages of 40 and 59.
