Furniture has become another important asset in our home. The furniture is dedicated to bring us more comfort for all the residents to stay at home. Furthermore the furniture can also bring a better look and beauty in our home. The furniture is commonly made of wooden materials. Wooden furniture has been the most popular material and has been existed for hundreds of years. Today, there are some categories of wooden materials tailored into furniture that may include hardwoods, softwoods and composites. In general, hardwoods are considered the highest quality and are the most expensive. Five hardwoods commonly used in home furniture include cherry, walnut, oak, maple and mahogany. The softwoods are less expensive but it requires more extra care. These kinds of woods are less durable and much easier to scratch or dent softwood furniture. These woods have less beautiful grains than the hardwoods, therefore it would not be able to be stained or painted beautifully. One example of softwood is the pinewood. This pinewood is also commonly used for furniture and commonly used in construction as well.

Composite furniture is the cheapest wood. This kind of material is not naturally grown but manufactured. The composite materials may include plywood, particle board, hardboard and MDF. Plywood is manufactured form multi layers of thin wooden sheets that are glued and pressed. It is strong and resistance to swelling, shrinking and warping. Particle board is made of sawdust and small wood chips that are mixed with glue and resin which is then shaped and pressure treated. The particle board is easily splits therefore it is generally covered with laminate or veneer. Hardboard is made of the particle board but it is placed under higher pressure that is why it is much stronger.MDF or Medium Density Fiberboard is made of wood particles and bonded with resin and compressed. It is harder than particle board or hardboard but it is not as strong as plywood. Technically furniture can be made by hardwood, softwood and composites the durability is the main factor that makes a large difference between those materials. The prices would also range from the hardwoods down the composites. A proper care on hardwood furniture will last for decades or even generations.

These woods can be tailored into many kinds of furniture that may range from bedroom into chairs. There are many different types of furniture chairs offered in the marketplace that will give you more fashionable lifestyle and bring comfort in your home at the same time. Ergonomic chairs can be selected so you can enjoy while sitting on it instead of having the ‘ants in your pants’ syndrome because your back and hinds quarters are hurting. Selecting the furniture chairs might be wise to start with the necessity and what types of furniture chairs that represents you lifestyle and last but not least the furniture chair should be matched with your home design and decorum. Besides selecting the proper chair should also consider comfort and your body health. Selecting the types of chair which are matched well with our physical posture might give you more comfort. The size and shape of your body will dictate whether you need a high back, mid back or low back. If you are tall then high backed chair would surely comfort you. Low back furniture chair may give you discomfort in your lower back if you are taller since it designed for shorter people. The height of furniture chair is important as well, people with short or long legs will be more uncomfortable sitting on furniture chair that does not fit to their body.
