How to Lose Weight and Maintain it Long Term

Gaining weight is an easy task but losing it takes a lot of effort. But what’s more important is maintaining the weight that you have lost. Follow man’s best friend, dogs. They just eat what s served and that s it. The same way try eating only what s on your plate and not go back to the fridge again and again for more. Eat and put the plate away.

Start your day with a healthy breakfast. Eggs are the true energy donors. Try eating a toast and two egg whites in the morning. You might not feel hungry for a very long time after eating it. They give you energy and fill you up and your day is filled. Think you re allergic to the foods that are fattening so that you avoid eating them. This mind trick can be quite effective; it will actually prevent you from eating such food!

Pack a healthy lunch to work:

Carry a meal box to eat for lunch at work avoid going to the cafeteria and facing all the delicious sandwiches, french fries and other junk food. Enjoy eating your favorite food once a while. Control. Prepackaged food is advantageous in a way because the food inside is limited and hence you are not able to eat out of proportionate food. You then automatically figure out how much you should eat to stay fit.

Other than food related matters, psychological, social and physical aspects are also important. It s okay to compare yourself to others. Sometimes motivation can come from looking at other people exercising, especially those who are overweight, who are exercising, because at least they re doing it! If they can do it, so can you.

Be wasteful for the wake of your waistline. You should give more importance to waist rather than giving more importance to waste. Although the statement might sound a little true but you should stop eating when the body is not able to take the food. So sometimes it is recommended to just toss the foods that you like into a waste bag rather than risk having them around. Let the stale food or unnecessary items go right out of the window. Get out of the gym and walk

It can be hard to find time to go to the gym on a regular basis. But exercise can be done in day to day chores. When you have a dog, it s easy to do some exercise. Take your dog for a nice long walk and try to walk as brisk as. Then you can play with the dog and even run along with him/her. Set high expectations. Also remember to train with weights on a regular basis even if you are a woman because this will add muscle to your body which will give you a better metabolism so you can burn more fat faster. Before you get on to the weighing scale, think of an extra high number, a weight that you really don t think you are. When you get on the scale and see a lower number, you won t feel all that bad!
