These work very well for a while, and some people made a considerable amount of money, but the search engines caught on and it is very difficult to make a consistent living using this method any longer.

One of the most important things that you need to consider is the fact that you must be getting incoming links on a regular basis from a variety of different sources. There are a number of different ways that you can do this, and some people even outsource the entire process in order to deal with building websites and other marketing issues instead of spending all their time linking.
It is important that you get into the mindset of optimizing your website for the long term. In doing so, you will ensure that you are not only getting the traffic that you need now, you will be getting it tomorrow and into the foreseeable future. That is the way to make sure that your business is growing and growing steadily.
