Having the right rugs that fits into your home flawlessly can add a high level of beauty and comfort you would not be able to have with any other type of accent piece.
If you want to cover a large area, then you might want an area rug. These can be used anywhere, but are traditionally used in dining and living areas. Cotton is frequently used where water may be spilled, and synthetics can be found in all manner of rugs, since it can mimic any property of other materials and last longer.
There are many more rugs then a quick guide can offer, and these are but a small sample of the ones you can find. They come in many different shapes, although rectangular, square and circular are the most common. They can be of any color, with flowers, modern designs, plain or striped. You can have one to celebrate the holidays with, and you can have one that will replicate an animal hide. They can be hand knotted, or made by a machine and be very plush or braided.
Whatever style and type of rugs you do want, remember that they will be a highlight to the room they are placed in. Rugs can be much cheaper then replacing a house full of carpeting, and you can change rugs out on a mood or when you redecorate much easier.
