Xyron is on the cutting edge when it comes to crafting machines, thanks to their production of popular products such as the WishBlade die cutting system, which was a hit with crafting and scrapbooking enthusiasts everywhere. While the company is well known mainly for the Wishblade and their sticker making machines (such as the Create A Sticker), Xyron also makes high quality laminators that are ideal for use in more professional environments. This article will look at three of these laminators the Pro 1255, Pro 2500, and Pro 4400 so you can decide if one of these machines would be a good fit for your office, studio, print shop, or school.

The Xyron Pro 1255 is a good, basic laminator. This machine doesn t use heat or electricity, so it s safe to use in all settings, and it s good for laminating items that could be damaged by heat lamination. With the Pro 1255, you can apply both laminate and adhesive to documents that are up to 11.75 inches wide. The Pro 1255 is very easy to use. All you do is feed your item into the machine, crank the handle, and then use the built in trimmer to cut away your excess laminate. It s even easy to load the machine with laminate because all you do is drop in the cartridge. That s all there is to it.

The Xyron Pro 2500 is a step up from the Pro 1255. With the Pro 2500, you can laminate items that are up to 25 inches wide so it s a good choice if you need to laminate larger things like posters, signs, or maps. And if you need to create mock ups for an art class or presentation, you can also apply adhesive to just one side of your item. Like the Pro 1255, the Pro 2500 doesn t require electricity to operate and it has an integrated trimmer. It s also just as easy to use as the Pro 1255, so you don t need to worry about the laminating process being difficult at all. However, unlike the 1255 this laminator uses rolls and not cartridges. The rolls last longer and are more cost effective per square foot than the cartridges used by the smaller machine.

The Pro 4400 is Xyron s largest laminator. With the Pro 4400, you can apply adhesive or laminate to items up to 43 inches wide. You can use either glossy or matte laminate with this machine, so you can get just the right look for your item. As with the Pro 1255 and Pro 2500, you ll have no trouble at all using this laminator because it s very user friendly. (It even has an alignment guide to help you line up your item correctly.) But unlike those two machines, the Pro 4400 is electric and does not require you to crank a handle to laminate items. There is no mess, no smell and no waiting.

The Xyron Pro 1255, Pro 2500, and Pro 4400 laminators are high quality machines that would be great for use in print shops, art and graphic design studios, schools, and offices that need a laminator. If you need a high quality machine that can both laminate and apply adhesive, you really need to think about getting a Xyron professional laminator.
