Unibind is one of the most innovative binding systems around. It s a thermal method that offers a way to get a very durable bond very quickly. This method uses special metal spines that activate a magnet in each Unibind machine, causing the device to melt the resin in the spine, thus binding your book. It s a very easy method and also a fast one, since you can make a book in about 90 seconds. To do this, you ll need a Unibind spine or cover. There are several different ones available. Here they are....

* SteelBack spines. SteelBack spines are one of the most versatile Unibind supplies. These spines allow you to use your own cover stock and still reap the benefits of super strong binding. Each spine contains the steel that s needed to active your machine and a paper cover that can be removed after binding is complete so you can show off your own cover. These spines can bind documents that are up to 340 pages long and they come in several different colors.

* SteelBooks. These supplies allow you to create you very own hardcover books, so they re great to use when you re putting together a yearbook, getting a big presentation ready, or just need to give your document a professional look. These materials are one piece items that have a front and back cover, and they come in a lot of different thicknesses and colors. There are two sizes of SteelBooks available letter sized (8.5 x 11 ) and half letter sized (5.5 x 8.5) and like the SteelBacks, you can create booklets that contain up to 340 sheets. Steelbooks are bound along the long edge for a portrait orientation.

* SteelMat and SteelCrystal. These two types of covers are pretty similar. They both have the steel spine that s found in other Unibind supplies and the exterior of the spine can be just about any color you want. However, these supplies have different covers. The SteelMat has a PVC cover on botht the front and the back that is frosted yet still transparent enough for people to see the first page of your document. Meanwhile, the SteelCrystal has a completely clear plastic cover on the front and back of the spine. These supplies are available in many widths (up to 1.5 inches) and they re especially good for letter sized documents.

* PhotoBooks. PhotoBook covers allow you to create beautiful photo albums or any other document that contains glossy paper. Each book you create with these covers will be hardbacks, so they ll be very durable and you and others can enjoy your creation for years to come. PhotoBook covers come in a variety of thicknesses and can contain up to 75 sheets. As for sizes, there are several available, the most popular being one that s landscape oriented and measures 8.5 x 11 . And let s not forget colors and finishes. Whether you want a black leather (or faux leather) cover, a metallic silver one, or one that s covered in linen, you ll find just the right cover for your book. Most letter sized PhotoBooks have a window pre punched in the front of the cover.

With all the wonderful supplies Unibind has to offer, it has never been easier to make your own books for personal and professional purposes. Whether you want to create a photo album or a business report, Unibind has the right spine or cover for you.
