With all the things you put on shelves you should have as many as you possibly can. If you have a shelve or shelves in your bathroom you can put things like your hairbrush, toothbrush or your towels and washcloths. If you have shelves in your bedroom and don t know what to put on them you could always just put pictures or even collectibles.
IF you have a garage you can put shelves on your walls and this helps to keep everything put up at eye level so that you can keep the strain off of your back. IF you have to keep bending over and looking for things and picking stuff off the floor then this will eventually cause your back to hurt.
IT also helps to have shelves in your garage because you can put your tools on them and get a little bit of organization and know where your tools are. And it also makes your garage look a whole lot bigger if things are up off the floor. It is so much more convenient to have shelves even if they are just small.
You can get shelves at most hardware or department stores at pretty cheap prices. IF you don t want to buy shelves then you can always make your own. All you have to do to make your own shelves is to buy a piece of wood and cut it to the length and width that you want it to be and then paint it or stain it to your specifications.
IF you put a shelve above a babies bed or changing table this could result in an injury or even death. So this is something that you should never do even if you are sure you have the shelve mounted on the wall the right way. Even if you want to put a small shelve above a baby bed you shouldn t because it could still fall. Also, you never want to put shelves where someone is going to walk into them and poke out their eye.
Some bookshelves have glass or wooden doors on them and this is smart because it keeps unwanted dust from getting to your books and it cuts down on the cleaning. A lot of people prefer to have shelves built into their walls. I don t really think it is convenient because when you want to rearrange your shelves you cant because they are built into the walls.
Some people are fortunate to know someone to make shelves for them and the person might carve designs into the wood and this makes them look very nice. However if you are not fortunate to know someone like this, then you can just sand down your own shelves and put wood stain and shine on them and make them look very nice.
Make sure that you never put things that are too heavy on a shelve because this could also result in an injury. After you put something on the shelve and you feel it start to give then you should take it off immediately because it could hurt someone if it falls.
