GBC ProClick binding has become a very popular document finishing method and it s easy to see why. This is a method that s easy, consistently produces great results, and can be done either by hand or with a machine. There are a number of supplies that you ll want to use when working with ProClick spines, so here s an overview of what s available.

1.) The spines. Obviously, the most common type of supplies are the spines themselves. Spines are available in 11 inch lengths for the binding of letter sized documents, and there are also spines that can be used when preparing half letter books that measure 5.5 x 8.5. Each spine is made out of durable plastic and it can be re opened even after the binding process is complete so you can make changes to your work. Spines come in three different sizes with the largest being 5/8 wide and able to secure 125 sheets. Four colors are available and you can choose from black, blue, frost, and white.

2.) Spine cartridges. If you own a ProClick Pronto machine such as the P2000 or P3000, you ve probably noticed that you need special spine cartridges to use with your device. These cartridges contain 20 spines each, saving you the hassle of loading the machine with one spine at a time.

3.) Pre punched paper. Pre punched paper is a great thing to have on hand because it saves you the hassle of punching your pages yourself. The pre punched paper that s available for this type of binding comes in different colors, sizes, and weights so you can find the perfect paper for your document. This paper is totally compatible with your current photocopier and/or printer, so printing your pages should be a totally painless experience. You can orders these supplies by the ream and case.

4.) The P50 punch. If you prefer to punch your pages, the P50 punch is a great device to get. It s a small item that can punch up to 6 sheets of paper at a time. The P50 is small enough to be portable, so if you need to bind a book when you re not at work, it s possible to do so. This would also be a good thing to have handy even if you own one of the Pronto machines because it can increase your punching capacity if one person operates the machine and another one uses the hole punch.

5.) Zipper tools. Every box of ProClick spines comes with a zipper tool that you can use to open up the spines for binding or editing. However, these tools can be easily lost due to their small size, so it wouldn t hurt to have some extras around. Three sizes of these tools are available to correspond with the three spine sizes. So, for example, if you re working with a 1/2 spine, use the tool that s designed for that size. 6.) Starter pack. If you d like to make things easy and just purchase an assortment of these supplies, you should get the ProClick Do It Yourself Presentation Kit. This set has everything you need to enter the world of ProClick binding. It includes some covers, 250 sheets of pre punched paper, the zipper tool, and 10 5/16 spines.

Like any other binding method, ProClick has some great supplies that can make the process easier and more enjoyable. So be sure to pick up some of these supplies today so your workday can go a bit smoother.
