When you buy a new office machine, there s no getting around it: you re going to need some supplies. This is true especially when you buy a pouch laminator or a plastic comb binding machine. But sometimes it can be overwhelming picking out the right supplies. After all, what if you pick the wrong size or color? Well, don t fret because if you recently bought a Fellowes laminator or comb binding machine, they have an easy solution for you: starter kits. These are sets that contain enough supplies to help you get started using your new device. Here s a brief look at what they contain.

* Laminating Starter Kits. If you bought a pouch laminator, you re going to need laminating pouches. These supplies come in a lot of sizes. Some are small enough to envelop a business card while others can laminate paper that s letter sized or larger. Chances are you ll need a variety of sizes so you can laminate a sign one day and a handful of index cards the next. That s where a Fellowes laminating starter kit can come in handy. Each one contains a variety of pouches so you can laminate a bunch of different sized items. Kits can contain either 25, 52, or 130 pouches, so choose the one that has the right number for you. The 25 pack has pouches that range in thickness from 3 to 5 mil, while the other packs have 3 mil pouches. These packs are a wonderful way for you to experiment with your new laminator without spending a lot of money on supplies.

* Comb Binding Starter Kits. One of the more challenging aspects of plastic comb binding is knowing which size comb you need to use. There are a lot of sizes available, from the very thin 1/4 ones to the largest which are 2 inches thick. Plus, combs often come in boxes of 100, and if you don t know what size to buy, eventually you re going to wind up wasting a lot of money. A Fellowes starter kit can help you avoid that scenario because it contains three of the most common sizes of comb: 1/4 , 5/16 , and 3/8 . Depending on the set you choose, you ll have 10, 20, or 50 combs so you can experiment and see which one works best for your documents. (And your office won t be cluttered by the ones that didn t work. And you ll save money!) Plus, each set also includes a handful of clear, white, blue, and black binding covers. These covers are both letter sized and slightly larger (8.75 x 11.25 ) so you ll definitely be able to make your document look its best.

Finally, depending on which Fellowes machine you bought, you may have had the good fortune of finding one of these kits in the box your machine came in. If not, they re still a great way to get started with your new laminator or binding machine. Even if your device is made by another manufacturer, such as GBC, these sets can still be used to help you get your feet wet. Get yourself a Fellowes starter kit today so you can enter the productive worlds of pouch laminating and plastic comb binding!
